Learning experience

I'm going to check this out, use it for a learning experience, in creating my own simple 2D engine.

I thank you for putting this together.

No worries. Thanks for your interest.

Although the engine is in an alpha state, there's quite a few components that will be useful for anyone who is interested in creating this kind of game with a level editor.

I have recently updated the engine to work with XNA 3.0 and Visual Studio 2010. I hope this helps.

I hope you mean XNA 4.0, and that was a typo. That would be cool. I'm not happy that I can't fully use XNA 4.0 on my laptop. Even though the nVidia 7000m meats the minimum requirements, VS says it don't support HiDef mode. I guess that it means it don't know what that video card is, so it just writes it off, wish there was a way to override that check.

I've already started on my engine, I call it 2D, but it uses 3D planes, so that I can use the camera controls. Just like how FlatRedBall does theres, or something like it. Not to mention the speed benefits of using the 3D API.

Thank you for replying, and take care!
